Lead Front End Developer
Location: West Bristol
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to join a multiple international award winning digital team, building and designing cutting edge digital services.
You will be creating and developing a front facing web site and intranet, as well as leading the UX team. You will be leading a small team to create a digital platform for an essential public service. This will give you the opportunity to use your considerable tech skills for good.
My client has the right modern Agile mind-set required to focus on solving problems for humans effectively, continuously deliver at pace, in a safe place to make mistakes, whilst experimenting and learning. This is validated by the team regularly being asked to speak at international events covering private and public sector and receiving 7 awards in the last 18 months.
As well as being able to flex your front end development skills, working closely with our development team, you’ll also head up the User Experience team. This team focuses on problem solving and designing content in a wide range of interesting areas such as online reporting, supporting victims of crime and much more.
The key to my client is they are down to earth and can guarantee a high level of job satisfaction, as you will play a key role in solving problems for the community who need our help through the use of high quality digital interfaces and products.
- Experience designing and building websites with JS (ideally React) and core web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, SCSS)
- Experience building on top of a WordPress CMS
- Experience of customer/user centred design
- Experience of supervising / leading a team of technical individuals
- Experience of communicating both orally and in writing
- An understanding of using continuous development and containers to deploy applications into production environment
